Da Hong Pao, Wuyi Shan, Fujian, China 2013 (Extremely Rare)
Our Da Hong Pao comes from a long time family friend of our Chinese partners named the Wu family. The Wu's have lived on and made tea on one of the most prestigious mountains in all of Zheng Yan.
Like all of our teas, every step of production is done manually, by hand and is very labor intensive. Mr Wu charcoal roasts the tea leaves very, very slowly in the traditional manner. This is world classic oolong. Very, very intense, and smooth with a sweet woody aftertaste. A strong rock tea that last up to 8, 9, 10 or more steeps.
